A Nine Month Performance

Who is she?
Those are the questions that I am currently pondering before
my wife gives birth to our second child.

It’s only been a month since I was told the news.
My invisible audience claps and shouts, “ Bravo, Bravo,” I oblige
bowing to their generous applause.

I wish I was the star of this show, but I must recognize I am only in the supporting
role.

My wife, the star of the show, begins her nine month engagement and
deserves all the accolades.

The spotlight is on her for the rest of the next nine months
until the climax of the show brings down the final curtain, not with shouts of
“bravo, bravo,” but with cries of jubilation.
